Reindeer Sightings - A Little Bit of Humor - Who's Doin' What - About Jeff - His Music - The Industry
Back in about 2000-2001 there was a lot of commotion in many part of the world about a phenomenon that did not get a lot of press coverage at the time that has surfaced once again as we head into the 2008 holiday season. It seems that there have been several new reports of reindeer sightings that have a particularly unusual twist. The reindeer are wearing what appears to be some human clothing and often reported as playing games, singing gaily and/or frolicking in the fields and in two separate incidences, actually sketching each other on paper made of fresh dried bark. It may seem impossible to believe and, quite frankly, it has many experts from all corners of the earth scratching their heads but the reports are many and they all have a very similar theme. “I’m not sure of what to make of this,” said Hans N Dakitson of Sweden. “I haven’t seen the data myself but it is disturbing just the same. We thought this had pretty much gone away since there were no reports of sightings since 2001. So I am sure we will be looking at the data closely.” In 2000-1 there were over 70 reports of reindeer sightings that were reported from some 17 different countries. There was an international summit that was called in 2001 attended by reindeer experts from 39 countries from around the globe. It was held in a small village in Germany so to not bring too much attention to the concern. From that summit was selected a committee of 12 to review all of the reports and interview all of those that had actually seen the reindeer. A report followed that was never released to the public. That report stated that it was obvious that something was occurring but there were no findings as to the cause or any solutions to the concerns. Then, since there were no additional sightings after the report was submitted, it has sat unopened on the shelves of the world headquarters of the RSO of Wanta (the Reindeer Sightings Organization of Wantafinda) in Amal, Sweden. “You can bet that we will be watching developments quite closely and reviewing the previous findings report over the next few days in hopes of getting a handle on this unusual occurrence,” was the latest word from the RSO of Wanta. “We will be sure to keep the press informed of events as things unfold.” We will be watching this story closely over the next few weeks as they try to get to the bottom of the story.
